...to post until my 'lil blog got a makeover. But, I didn't get that done today (didn't even really make it onto my radar) so I'll just post anyway. I will TRY to do that this week, but we are going away on Thursday for five days so we'll see how much stuff gets done (i.e. stuff that really NEEDS to get done...and I don't think giving my blog a makeover counts!) But I'm bored with it so it may happen.
Anyway...not too much going on. I'm feeling a bit better emotionally, though I am not really sure why. Basically, our future (the future that begins in about 2 and a half months) is pretty unclear to us and I find it rather scary. I honestly do not know where we will be living or what we will be doing. That's a scary place to be when you have two little kids and another on the way. BUT, I really feel like I am growing through this process and I am sure that there are lessons to be learned through it. Although I don't think that God is into "game-playing," I do feel like He is giving me words and verses that make me think we could go in a few different directions. Scripture verses have taken on new meaning to me and I am always grateful for new insight. And so, although I am scared, frustrated, and just down-right tired, I am learning and growing. And that is good. And you know what? None of it really matters. My home is not a building. It is not the location or the decorations. It is not the number of bedrooms or the furniture. My home is with the people I love more than anything else in this world. My home is Jason, and Alaina, and Caleb, and this new little one trying to kick its way out of me, and dare I say it? With Alex the Cat. They are what is precious to me. I love them SO VERY MUCH. So if they are with me, I will be happy. (Well, if Alex goes AWOL I will not be devistated.) And I will be fulfilled. This is my life and I will embrace it.

Caleb is learning to blow kisses. SOOOO cute. Okay, so he is a little delayed in these social skills (he'll be two on May 1). But, no matter when kids learn to do new things it is always amazing when they do it. He doesn't make a kissing sound or even pucker his lips for that matter. He just puts his hand to his mouth and then in one dramatic move flings his hand and arm our and says, "Ahhhh!" And he does this to everyone as he leaves. I could just eat him up.
Oh, and speaking of Caleb kisses. Oh my. Caleb and Alaina are quite the pair. Alaina, at three, can obviously give real kisses. For the longest time Caleb has given "open mouth kisses. Alaina thinks this is hysterical. So, when Caleb goes to give Alaina a kiss goodnight she always opens her mouth really big. Kind of gross, but whatever. But now, to add grossness to grossness, Caleb has started to STICK OUT HIS TONGUE when he gives a kiss. I know I should stop all the nonsense but I am always laughing way to hard to do much about it. Which of course just makes them laugh and do it more. A vicious cycle I tell you.
And since we're on the topic of kisses, I'll tell you about a little game of Alaina's. We've been playing it for a few weeks but I guess Jason hasn't seen it yet because he seemed quite surprised in the van this morning on the way home from church when Alaina said, "Mommy, let's play the hurting game." My husband shot be a quick and "what-the-heck?" look. So I had to explain. Sometime Alaina and I started a silly game where we "hurt" each other (please don't worry, but "hurt" I mean one of us usually pokes the other in the arm and the recipient says "OWWW!" really loud.) Now, the point is NOT to hurt each other. Remember my theme for the night? Kisses? Yes, the point of this game is KISSES. Whenever Alaina gets hurt I always give her a kiss. So, she thinks it is great if we "hurt" each other than we can give each other lots of kisses. So she pokes me, I say "OW!" and then she smothers the hurt spot with little kisses. Crazy, but fun. Gotta love being a mom.
Okay, a few new LO's to share. This first one (okay, the first three) started out as a simple project. Lynn Grieveson (aka SINGERS on 2peas) is having a Creative Team call. She is so sweet, used to live in Singapore (so I am already a fan), and she is just a really encouraging lady. She is a new designer and so I haven't worked with any of her stuff yet. I am soooo tempted to apply because I just love working with nice people, but I am learning that it is REALLY good to work with a designers stuff before committing to promote them. So anyway, I went to her shop, picked up the greatest little kit, and I was going to do a simple page with it. Simple didn't quite work out. I dug out some old photos of Jason and I from when we had just gotten engaged. I was having so much fun that this turned into a 3 pager! I'm not sure I have every done a three pager. But, I was rather pleased (with the kit and the layouts!) I just wish I was better at scanning photos. Tips, anyone?
How fun are those papers? So worm and rustic. Just perfect for our weekend on the farm.
Oh, and I realize I have been bad about leaving credits here on my blog. But in case any of you ever want to take a peak and purchase something I use, I should write it. Anyway, this kit is called OLD FARM KITCHEN by Lynn Grieveson at scrapbook elements.

Okay, this one makes me laugh because when I started to do a new LO, I had every intention of doing a Caleb LO (Since he appears very unloved in my scrapbooks!) Then it went to a LO of the two of them and then, well, it just turned into another Alaina LO. Poor boy. I'll do better, Cabe, I promise! Anyway, think I went a little overboard with the rick-rack but I was just having so much fun with it. Kit is (oh my, don't remember, and I haven't posted it anywhere yet so I haven't looked it up.) Let's see, I DO KNOW that it is by Taren Conyers and I know I got it for free. I'll tell you some other time. Sorry.

So exciting Janet what God is showing you through this adventure in your lives! I hope you are journaling this experience (atleast you have your blog) and it's going to remind you of God's faithfulness! Like the little stones from the OT! Love your layouts!!!!! They are so adorable. Cute, cute, cute kids :) Hope you have a good vacation!

Those are fun layouts and fun papers. Joel and I are going have a layover in KL Sunday, and I REALLY want to make a run to IKEA for some of those frames you bought that you put your layouts in. How much were they, do you remember? What size are they? I have some pics of my girlfriends and their kids, and I'm working on a layout of their weekend together. Mine is titled, "What I Miss Most". :-( I think this would be such a fun thing to print and give as a gift; do you think it will cost me an arm and a leg to ship? If you get a chance, I'd love to know if you think it's worth the money we'd have to pay to take the train into the city.
