...and I'm done. With my week three layout, that is! I am SO SICK of this. This was the HARDEST challenge. Three photos (minimum), 40% journaling. Wowza! When I first read the assignment, I didn't think much of it. How hard could it be? Hard I tell you! Glad this is done. I will probably be out of the competition, but at this point I don't care. I went to bed last night saying to Jason, "Scrapping is supposed to be fun. "It is supposed to be the release of my stress, not the cause of it." So anyway, here it is: Not Always a Princess.
Now that that's done...
My trip to KL was pretty good. We had to go to the US Embassy twice because of all the paperwork we had to fill out for Levi's Certificate of Birth Abroad, Passport, and Social Security number. But, it's all done and hopefully being processed. Let me tell you, his passport pix are just the CUTEST! I'll have to scan one in and show you later. SO CUTE! All our kiddos were so little when they had their pix taken...Alaina @ 4 weeks, Caleb @ 5 days! and Levi @ four weeks. And in passport pix both eyes have to be open. How hard is that with a newborn??
The rest of the trip was pretty uneventful. We shopped a little, ate at yummy restaurants, relaxed. I even saw a movie...yep, I went to a movie by myself (well, okay, with Levi but he slept the whole time) and it was sooo nice! We didn't bring Alaina and Caleb to KL with us and Jason and his brother wanted to go to some electronics mall and then on to Little India. I wasn't really up for the adventure so I went to go see FAILURE TO LAUNCH. Okay movie, I guess. The best part was just having two hours of QUIET and no demands placed on me. So, other than Levi puking all over me in the middle of the movie, all was great!
Oh, shopping. WELL...I went to Borders to see if they had any scrapping magazines that we don't get up here in Penang. I was hoping for the new CK or Scrapbooks Etc. Nope. None there. But you want to know what WAS there? Digital Scrapbooking 5. Yep. The magazine that Jason's brother and I went to so much trouble to have him bring me from the States. Sitting right there in Borders and the cost was THE SAME AS THE STATES! Go figure!
One kind of crazy thing happened when we were eating at Chilis. Chilis is in this huge mall on the third or fourth floor. It overlooks this huge fountain area. Well we were sitting there and I was looking down and I saw this lady. I said to Jason, "that looks like Kellie." Who is Kellie, you ask. Kellie is the one I told you about a few weeks ago. We met on 2Peas and both live in Malaysia. We met in person a few days before Levi was born. I tried calling her handphone but didn't get an answer (turns out I was calling the wrong number) so I ran down to the ground floor to see if it was her. IT WAS! RANDOM 2PEAS SIGHTING! Crazy...yes, we both live in the same country but neither of us live in KL. How weird for both of us to be in KL and at the same mall and for me to spot her three floors up! What fun.
In the next day or two I will have some new pictures of Levi up. I realize I haven't put any new ones up for a while. He is growing so fast. He is already over a month old! Time FLIES! We're having such a good time as a family of five. Alaina and Caleb both love him so much. I love seeing all of them together. Just tonight we were out at the mall and had to go up floor flights of escalators. We had forgotten the stroller so Jason was carrying Levi in the carseat but we still needed to hold hands with Alaina and Caleb. So we all just grabbed on... a family of five, all holding hands, going up the escalator, all of laughing and loving being together. I love these four people more than I could ever express. Yes, with three children age 3 and under, CHAOS REIGNS. But I love it. Chaos and all. Cheerios all over my floor. Grape pop on my comforter. Caleb dirty from crawling under the house. Alaina crying for some unknown reason. Levi wanting to be held. Yep. Love it all.
Okay...I had a bit of time this morning to scrap. Did a quick page...
And then this afternoon I had about a half hour. So, I opened up a few pages that I started MONTHS ago and never finished. So, I opened a few up and gave myself TEN minutes each to finish them. So...they aren't great but they are DONE. More pages for my album. Like I said, they are from months ago when I was still getting the hang of all this digi scrapping stuff. But they are done!
Okay...that's it for tonight. I'm tired. Goodnight!
