Yea, this is unusual for me. I usually blog at night. But this morning is just quiet...the boys are still sleeping, Jason has left for work, Alaina went to have breakfast with him, and I hav the house to myself. I hav my laptop set up in our dining room which has a huge picture window in it looking out over campus. I can see the sun rising over the cornfields and I can see the dew on the grass. Such a peaceful, wonderful morning. Even better, I spent a bunch of time really cleaning this room and there is nothing better than waking up to a really clean room. Oh the simple joys!
Not much to report from the weekend. Things here were pretty laid back. About half our girls go home every weekend so the dorm was pretty quiet. On Saturday the girls all went shopping for the afternoon and so we had some wonderful family time. Then yesterday we all went to a big Chinese Buffet after chruch. Yummy.
I didn't do a whole lot of scrapping this weekend. I was pretty busy with other things for work. But I managed to get a few pages done.
This page was fun. It's an old kit by Shabby Princess (TWO SOON) but it was perfect for this page.
This next one took all of like 5 minutes. Most of the page was already done for me as part of Gina Cabrera's Shabby Shack kit. I just added the photo and the journaling strip, plus the word art that is part of the Art for Asher charity kit.
And finally, did this LO just for fun. I've been wanting to use these pictures for a while.
Most everything here is by Michelle Colenman...pp, alpha, paintsrtokes. Stitching and star fastener by Dani Mogstad (the star fastener is part of an upcoming kit that is AWESOME...did another page with it but I can't show it quite yet.)
Journaling Reads: Life isn’t always easy (thoughI wish it were!) It’s hard being three. Before I had kids I was worried about the “TERRIBLE TWOS.” Well, they came and went and we enjoyed almost every minute of it. Three, however, is very different. Don’t get me wrong , 90% of the time you are the happiest little thing there is. But you are at a tough point in your life -- old enough to know what you want and how you want it but still too young to do everything on your own. It frustrates you at times (as it does us) but you work through it. You stop crying (usually very quckly) and no one would ever know you had ever been upset. And althoughh I wish this weren’t true, I’m afraid that I have to tell you that being four isn’t all that easy wither. Or five. Or twenty nine.
Okay, that's it for this morning. Need to get some things done before the boys get up. Happy Monday!
**ETA** Oh yea, thanks everyone for the sweet comments and emails about the templates I made. They were a lot of fun. I'll see what I can do about getting one or two uploaded to YouSendit.
Wonderful layouts!! Isn't it wonderful to have a quiet home in which to scrap in? Not something I get to experience often but it's such a treat when I do! :)

Hey Janet! Love your layouts. I haven't scrapped hardly anything since we moved back to the States TWO MONTHS AGO! We don't even have Internet at our house; it's a good thing my parents are close by. Your templates are awesome; you always impress me. I'm close to delirious and obviously unable to spell, so I'm gonna head to bed. That kid is already an hour up on me! Blessings!
