Monday Morning....

...how's that for an interesting title?  LOL!  Sorry, that's all I've got!

This weekend was really busy but I go SO much done.  I still have some stuff to do this week but I finally feel like my head is above water.  What have I been doing, you ask?  Well, I've been busy creating some little goodies...

Can't see the logo on the far right of the last frame?  Oh well, I guess you'll have to wait =)  But, YES YES YES...I will be selling some layered templates starting LATER THIS WEEK!  SO excited!  It has seriously been kind of a crazy and fun process and I am learning a lot.  I've thought at times about designing scrapping products but then I see all the AMAZING designers out there and think, 'Now why do I need to design when stuff that great is already out there...I would rather scrap!"  But then I also think how much fun it would be to 1)share my passion for scrapping with others and 2)make  a little money doing something I LOVE!  And so when digital templates came on the scene, I knew it was a place I could fit.  They are sooo fun to create and I can't wait to see what others can do with them!  Be sure to stay tuned this week for my official announcement, opening date, and COUPON!!

The kiddos are doing so great.  Levi is the S-W-E-E-T-E-S-T thing ever.  He giggles and laughs more than any baby I have ever seen.  I thought Alaina was the happiest baby imaginable.  And then I had Levi.  WOW.  It has been such a wonderful experience and I am trying to soak in every moment of his babiness (is that even a word???  well it is now). When Caleb was little, we had just moved to Malaysia and we were so busy trying to get settled and be with the dorm.  And basically I just MISSED him being a baby.  I was so busy that I didn't soak it all in, I didn't stop to just ENJOY him, to watch him sleep, to watch him learn to grasp on to things, to notice his little personality.  Of course I have since spent LOTS of time getting to know Caleb and his totally unique self but I missed him being a baby.  And I promised myself not to do that with Levi.  So I am soaking it in and enjoying every minute.

Have any of you had a kid who liked to pretend they were the mom (or dad?)  Did they take it to the EXTREME???  I seriously don't know what to do with Alaina at times.  She starts playing that she is the mom and I am the "sister."  But it isn't just play...I think it is REAL to her.  She gets upset because "mom's don't have to ride in car seats," and "mom's can brush their teeth by themselves," and "mom's don't have to go to bed early."  She cried for over an hour last night about having to go to bed because she was the MOM!  Sheesh, if only she knew how much the real mom WANTED to go to bed!  She went so far as reading ME a book before bed...but I drew the line at her wanting me to sit in HER lap!  LOL!  Sorry deary, don't want to crush ya.  She gets so entrenched in this thinking that at times I really don't know what to do.

A little like wanting to be a mom thing...the kids were soooo cute yesterday.  I was in the playroom feeding Levi.  In walks Alaina with Spot I (her yellow polka-dotted stuffed animal from the book PUT ME IN THE ZOO).  So she lifted up her shirt and was "feeding" him.  Then, in comes Caleb with Alaina's pink Thai elephant.  He plopped himself down on the couch, lifted up his shirt, and started "feeding."  So sweet.

Oh, oh...I mentioned in my last post that Levi rolled over and I missed it.  Can you believe it?  For DAYS I was watching him like  a hawk (do other people use that phrase or it just my mom?)  I have a gazillion pictures of him "almost" rolling.  Then the one day this century that I take a short nap, what does he do?  ROLL OVER. WITHOUT ME.  Fortunately I have trained Jason well enough that he took pictures.

Oh my goodness, the funniest thing just happened!  I stopped typing for a bit because I could hear that the kids were up.  I walked into their room where Alaina was lying on Caleb's bed.  The first thing she says to me?  Nope, not good morning. Not hi mom.  She says, "I'm not ever going to be the mom again. Not ever ever ever."  Good morning to you, too, Alaina.  I guess maybe she realized that being the mom is hard work!  LOL!

Okay, I guess that's it for today.  The kids are up and dressed and out to have breakfast with Dad, the dorm girls are on their way out the door for school, and I have a long list of stuff I need to do around the house.  Have a GREAT day!
