...I'm here at the coffee shop once again sipping my heaven-in-a-cup-not-so-chai -like-vanilla chai. Mmm. And this one I got free. Yep, free. As the lady was making it she mentioned that the powdered stuff they mix into it is so hard to dissolve. I said, "Yea, I know, the last time I was in here I finished my cup and there was a thick layer of stuff stuck to the bottom." Now, I was just making friendly conversation. I am so NOT one to complain at restaurants, etc. and when Jason mentioned taking it back last time I was horrified. But the lady here in the shop is just chatty and we were talking and I was just sharing. But then she came out and handed me my drink which was odd because I hadn't paid yet. And she said, "Oh no, since your last one was bad." I of course refused but I lost the fight. What a sweet lady. And as I sit here listening to her talk with other customers I see just how important good manners and customer service is. She obviously enjoys people and enjoys what she does. I should get her work schedule so I can come back when she is here. You can't go wrong with people like that.
So, anyway, here at the coffee shop once again. My internet is so wonky and it hates Scrapartist and Design by Dani and I have goodies from both places to download so I come here to do it. So nice to have time alone...well, Levi is here but he doesn't ask for much :) Jason and the kiddos are at the library. Jason has time off this morning because he has to work all afternoon and evening at the school's Harvest Festival. So, we are having some fun family time. After the coffee shop/library stint we are off to our weekly Fazoli's trip ( I LOVE that I can be on a diet and still eat at Fazoli's every once in a while...I *heart* Weight Watchers!) Then, after lunch, is my favorite part. The thing I have waited for for sooo long...the thing I have given up birthday gifts and Mother's Day gifts, etc for. Yep, today is the day. Haven't totally decided. We'll see when we get there. Oh, I have dreamed of this for so long. I just could never justify it. I just got my Panasonic a year and a half ago. But I have saved my pretty pennies for a while now, and the time has come. I don't spend much money on myself. So, I am indulging. On something I REALLY want. Oh, I am so excited. I was actually dancing this morning and Levi was laughing at me. It felt good.

So, sorry I have been absent this week. It has been a HARD HARD week. I don't say this for sympathy's sake, just to say why I haven't been around. But, although things have been difficult life is still good. When some stuff is falling apart other things are getting stronger. God is good. And faithful. And I am so thankful. Thankful for all that I have and all that I have been given. I have these three wonderful kids who I adore with every fiber of my being. I have an amazing husband who is soooo supportive of me and my hobby and my dreams and goals as they relate to that hobby. I have finally found an outlet to the creativity that I KNEW was inside me all my life but couldn't unleash. I have a wonderful and creative mind and I have been given experiences, both good and bad, that have made me a better person and made me work effectively in other people's lives. So I don't want to push the hard times away. Instead, I want them to sharpen me, to grow me, to make me into a better me.
No new LO's for you today since I moved everything over to my external hard drive and I don't have that with me. I feel inspired, though, so maybe this weekend I will create and share.

Janet, I just decided to google you and see what kind of stuff you do with your digital scrapbooking. I was blown away!!! What an incredible God-given creativity runs through your veins! If I ever get time, I would love to sit down with you and learn how to get started with what you do. P.S. I am so experienceing camera envy!!! I would kill for a digital rebel--unfortunately, I'd probably have to in order to get the insurance money in order to afford it!!! Sandi G.
