...this is Alaina's favorite phrase. Many, many, many times a day we'll hear some thing like this:
ME: "So Alaina, what would you like for lunch?"
HER: "Well actually, I would like a peanut butter sandwich."
ME: "Alaina, when Dora is over you need to go pick up your room."
HER: "Well actually, I would like to do it later."
ME: "What would you like to do for craft time today?"
HER: "Well actually, I want to make brownies and THEN do crafts."
Actually, actually, actually. Where do kids come up with this stuff? She cracks us up!
Just this morning I was headed to the bathroom and Alaina runs up to me, totally n.a.k.e.d. and says with all the excitement she can muster, "MOM! I must be four already because I GREW!" Um, okay Alaina, maybe you did grow but you still have to wait seven more days until you are four.
I can't believe my little girl will be four in a week. I just can't believe it. I was just watching her last night and realizing that there is no baby left in her. She isn't even a toddler. She is a precious little girl and as much as I have loved every stage with her I am sad to realize that my baby girl is gone. {sniff}
Well, at least I still have my boys. Not the same thing as a baby girl but fun nonetheless. Well actually (he he) if Alaina gets her way we will have another baby girl. She prayed for it last night before bedtime. "Thank you Father for all you do for us and thank you that you will give Mommy another baby girl and her tummy will get big again..." Soooo sweet!

You wanna know the highlight of my day yesterday? I got a new computer chair! WOO HOO! I am pretty stupid if you ask me. For the last seven months I have been using one of the chairs from our dining table to use at the computer. We didn't move our office chairs from Malaysia because they were in pretty bad condition. But when we got here we just never went out and got one. In the other house I started using one of those chairs because my laptop sat on the table. I needed to be in the living room most of the time so that I could be available for the dorm girls and so my laptop just ended up there. Then when we moved to the new place my laptop found a home at the desk but we were without a desk chair. So, I just started using one of the dining room ones again. But over the past few months I have been getting a horrible pain in my upper left shoulder, about half way between the next and the shoulder. That muscle hurt sooo bad and I have been complaining of it for a while. And yet I never seemed to have "Go buy a desk chair" stuck enough in my brain. I guess maybe I didn't think it would make a difference. Well, Jason came home yesterday with a wonderful new desk chair for me! Oh my goodness, what difference it makes! It is so comfortable! Of course it will take me a while to get used to it but already things feel better and I didn't have any pain last night! What a sweet husband I have. Add that to the roses he brought home for me and I'd say I am a lucky gal :)
