Welcome to part three of "betcha didn't know" -- a little glimpse into the unknown world of me :) Part one and two are also available for your reading pleasure (or boredom!)
First let me say that I am sorry I didn't pop back in yesterday. We were gone a lot longer than I anticipated!
Alrighty then, here we go...
1. I have never seen American Idol. I might have seen half a song of one episode once. Maybe.
2. We don't have cable. Never have (well, except for six months in Nebraska when it came free with the apartment)
3. I have never seen a Star Wars movie and don't intend to.
4. Along those same lines, I have never seen Narnia and don't have plans to see Prince Caspian. I know people say I should, but I really don't like science fiction or fantasy movies or books.
5. I really can't trust myself before having coffee in the morning. I have been known to say or do stupid things.
6. My coffee tastes weird this morning. What in the world did I do to it?
7. I drink my coffee with one sweetener and two teaspoons of powdered creamer.
8. I think McDonald's idea of "making your coffee for you" was the worst idea EVER. I refuse to buy coffee from them anymore. Why can't I just make it myself?
9. I only go to Starbucks once a month or less.
10. I rarely go shopping. I buy groceries (only what I need for that day and maybe the next) and I peruse the aisles at Target, but I really can't remember the last time I have been to a mall. Maybe why I can't ever find anything to wear in the morning.
11. I despise having to get dressed in "real" clothes first thing in the morning. I want comfy clothes. I usually change later in the day but I almost always start off in something like sweats.
12. My ears are double pierced. I got the first holes in third grade and the second ones in seventh.
13. I almost never change my earrings. I wear tiny loops in the second hole and a little bit bigger hoop in the first hold.
14. I ALWAYS take off all my jewelry before bed, including my wedding ring. The only jewelry that stays on are my tiny loop earrings and my toe ring.
15. I've had my toe ring on for almost eleven years. I got it in Singapore on my way home from my first trip to India. I used to have one on each foot, but one broke a few years ago.
16. I never had my hair professionally colored until I moved to Malaysia four years ago.
17. I also never had a pedicure until then.
18. Now I love both!
19. I started blogging in January 2006 when I knew about two people in the digi world. I started blogging regularly in January 2007.
20. I haven't updated our family blog in over two years.
21. I often blog at night and then just post in the morning (I work until 8:30 every morning).
22. I only discovered the wonders of a blog reader about a month ago. Until then, I actually went to every blog I read and checked for updates every day. Luckily, I only read about ten regularly.
23. I only have to check two manually now -- for some reason my reader can read them.
24. I scrap like I dress and dress like I scrap -- plain solid colors, nothing bright and flashy, not a lot of accessories.
25. I am currently in the largest scrapping rut I have ever been in. It has been THREE WEEKS since I scrapped a page or bought any digi materials. Ugh.
26. I wear flip flops 99% of the time. I even bought "dressy" flip flops for church.
27. I have two sisters and a brother. My older sister lives in Michigan, my younger sister lives in Wisconsin, my brother lives in Arizona, and my parents live in Montana. Kind of makes family get-togethers hard!
28. I have lived in 20 houses/apartments. I included any place I have actually moved a large percentage of my stuff into. I only counted my dorm room as one, even though I switched rooms.
29. Apparently, I like to move.
30. I really, really love surprises.
31. I pride myself on figuring out the surprises first, though. Sometime who can truly surprise me has my vote!
32. Setting all things aside (like God's will) I would choose to live in Asia any day over living in America. Can't really put words to why.
33. If I have to live in the States, though, Orlando definitely is my favorite place.
34. I am allergic to most green things outside (grass, etc) but I have never reacted to poison ivy.
35. My eczema is much, much better in Florida than anywhere else I have lived.
36. I have a dishwasher but choose to wash by hand.
37. I learned to crochet when I was in college and made one afghan. I haven't made one since. I don't have the patience for long, drawn out projects.
38. I am the worlds worst procrastinator. I almost always get done what needs to be done but I usually wait until the last minute to do it. In college I even did a 25 page research paper in two days (including the research!)
39. I never delete photos. I take way, way too many photos and know I will never use most of them and yet I don't delete. Need to be better about that!
40. I love scrapping magazines. I subscribe to Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc., Simple Scrapbooks, Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, and Scrapbook Trends. Magazine days are good days!
41. I rode a camel for three days in the desert in India.
42. I've ridden elephants in Thailand and India (and at the circus in the States!)
43. I always wanted to be popular in high school. When I finally was, I didn't like it.
44. Since then, I haven't really cared what people thought of me (well, I care when they think bad things because they ARE bad, but I don't live to seek out other people's approval and acceptance anymore.)
45. I have always cared more about being me, being genuine, than about doing what others were doing. I remember in high school being out for homecoming dinner with my five good girlfriends and all our dates. One of the girls mentioned needed to use the restroom and so up hopped four other girls. I didn't have to go and I didn't want to be one of "those" girls so I sat at the table with the six guys!
46. I still remember my high school locker combination: 31-15-33
47. My most embarrasisng moment was in ninth grade when I went up to the most popular girl in the school who was at the water fountain (thinking it was my ninth grade friend) and said in my most intimidating voice, "so what do you think you are doing?"
48. I've never seen many of the classic Disney movies...Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations, Bambi, Snow White,,,
49. I have too much laundry to do today
50. But instead, I promised Alaina I would watch a movie with her. There is always tomorrow for the laundry!
Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Our boys go home for three days so I am really looking forward to a laid back weekend. I hate crowds so I won't be braving the beaches or parks. Guess that means so nice time at home. And maybe, just maybe, I'll pull myself out of my scrapping slump and get some pages done!

I do not like fantasy either, BUT, I have seen the Narnia movies. My dh took a class in highschool that pointed out the allegory of Christ and Aslan in the books. When you watch the movies from that perspective, it is a very interesting and rewarding experience. You will have to let me know if you end up going.
