It's funny how we can live with people, work with people, see them every day and yet not ever DO anything with them. So it is with life in community...you know you will see them at dinner, at breakfast, at the pool, etc. so you never bother to actually set anything up. Well, the four of us here who just had babies finally made plans to get off campus and do something together. It was a short outing (with four babies five months and under it has to be!) but it was nice to get out and enjoy each other a bit. I was playing with my Mother's Day gift to myself and got some cute pictures. I would have gotten more but I messed up some setting on my camera and my auto focus wouldn't lock. I played and played with it and could not get the thing to work! Finally I just went to my menu and cleared all settings (returning it to its default setting). It worked! It also fixed my automatic 1 stop overexposure in AV mode that I have been trying to get rid of. Weird.
Anyway, here are a few...
Moms (minus me!) and babies...Katelynn is the second one from the left, being held by my friend Renee.
All four little babies...Caroline and Landon (almost five months), Shannon (3.5 months), and Katelynn (2 months)
Maybe I'm awful, but I love to take pictures of crying babies. They are just too cute when they cry! (this is Caroline)
Mom and Caroline
The duck that thought she was invited to our party. She sat a few feet away from our blankets the whole time!
The mommas comparing foot size ;)
Erika and Shannon (I worked with Erika in Malaysia, back when I had just had Caleb and she didn't have any kids. It has been fun to go through pregnancy and the newborn stage with her!)

And since I haven't scrapped (after all the NSD hoopla I have had zero interest in scrapping!) I will show you a few of Alaina's recent pages:
She's getting really good! All I have to do is select tools for her and find materials (she tells me what kind of colors she is looking for and I pick out a kit to use). She can move stuff on and off her page, she can recolor and resize, she can rotate and move stuff. Before long, I won't even have to be at the computer! Templates are SO PERFECT for kids to scrap with!

Hope your Thursday is a good one!

Looks like fun Janet! Alaina's pages are great!!

Alaina rocks!!! Her pages are a million times better than my first ones!! Yall did inspire me to have my almost 4 yr old help me come up with a hybrid project last weekend. I can't wait till she is old enough to do her own pages!

Oh - tell Alaina her pages look so pretty! I love them all!
Your pictures are amazing - the one of Caroline crying is just precious - she looks so pretty and perfect - like a china doll! Glad you got out for a little play date - it's great for us momma's to do that once in a while!
