Just wanted to pop and say that I was home from the Philippines. I had an amazing time of friends, food, and fun. There wasn't a ton of relaxation and rest (other than just the kind that naturally comes from not having four kids trailing behind me) but I had so much fun. My friends used their amazing gift of hospitality to bless me in many ways.
One of the best gifts (for me) that comes from other peoples hospitality is that I have time to think and process and pray. When I don't have to worry about the day to day parts of life, my mind can have a feast. I read a lot, prayed a lot, thought a lot. It was what I truly needed.
I didn't take a whole lot of pictures -- I have trouble playing "tourist" but you can see a few of the highlights in my PHOTO A DAY album to the left. You can also see my most recent scrapbook pages in the RECENT PAGES album (I haven't been posting them here on the blog).
I hope to be back later in the weekend to share more about my trip and some other stuff going on in my little head. But right now I have two sick kids, one crying baby, one kid that needs to eat breakfast and go to school, a very long to-do list, and a cup of coffee that is being sadly neglected.
So wonderful to hear you had time for yourself and enjoyed it. That's a real treat which I suppose doesn't happen for all of us often enough. Hope you're feeling better:-)

Glad you had some fun and got time to think, read and pray. So important for our everyday sanity ;) Have a great weekend - hope the sick ones recover in a snap.
