I am interested and passionate about many things. I spend my days in a variety of activities I love: cooking, homeschooling, homeschooling prep, reading, being with the kids, taking pictures, and more. All these things do their part to fill me up and energize me.
The one activity, though, that I can always count on to fill a little spot in me is my scrapbooking. For the last five years it has just fit perfectly into a little spot in my heart that no other hobby or activity has been able to fill. It is the place where my love for photography, creativity, writing, memory keeping, and my family all come together and culminate in something tangible. I have never grown tired of the process and now my family has over 1000 pages and stories saved.
And so here are some of my more recent pages. I don't share very often, but it doesn't mean I am not scrapping. Just little bits of me digitally glued to paper as I save and pass the stories of our family on to the next generation.
And here's a two-page that took forever but that I am so glad I did!

Happy Memory Keeping to you!
WOW!!!! LOVE the "4 the Record" page...hope that one becomes a template. It looks like you put alot of work into it!!! I have been digitally scrapping for about 2 years....6 months ago it started to become work...I was losing the joy in it...spent too much time trying to edit my photos. But....your templates are so fun to use and I love your "perfect yet imperfect style". Scrapping is fun again!!!

Hi Jenny! It is a template...it is part of Sweet Shoppe Designs Quarterly Assortment that debuted on Saturday.
And if scrapbooking feels like work, do NOT do it. I am not one of
those people who thinks everyone should scrapbook. It is good for me
and I LOVE this form of storytelling, but it isnt right for everyone.
Dont force yourself!

Oh...I will totally look that up!!! Thanks!! I paper scrapped for a long time...I think the editing part made it more work to me....took the fun out of it. I totally love to scrap...it just seemed like it was taking to long to get to the fun part....so now I limit my editing!!

I really love your titles. I have such a hard time finding title alphas that are simple to use on my pages. Would you mind sharing about how you choose your title alphas and a few favorites that you use over and over? I feel like I want to buy a handful of them that I can change up to suit any page and still give it a unique look.

Rebecca --
I dont have any tried and true method for choosing titles. I usually start by looking at the space I have to fit the title and how long the title I want to use is. That will help me decide if I need a big chunky alpha, a small typed font, or something in between. I usually look at the alpha from the kit I am using (I am totally a kit scrapper) and if I like it, I use it. If not, I go to some of my favorites: Stamped Alpha 4 by Nancie Rowe Janitz at Scrapartist, the black alpha from Dani Mogstads Imagination kit, any CD Muckosky Alpha (Little Dreamer Designs), Clementine Sketch font (with a paper background), and one of my new favs, Just the basics alpha by Dani Mogstad from the SSD basics kit (December Gifts). Hope that helps!
