This girl...
...is seven, and loving every minute of it
...is creative, loving, intelligent, and beautiful
...loves people, attention, dancing, and being in the center of everything that happens
...cannot sing to save her life (because, you know, no one can be totally perfect)
...amazes me each and every day
Today, this girl, my sweet Alaina, made me cry with her tender heart. She was invited to a birthday party of a boy in town and then she asked if Caleb was invited also. I told her, "No honey, he wasn't. The invitation was just for you."
And then she started crying.
And I asked her what was wrong and she just said, "I just feel so bad for Caleb!" Oh sweet girl, your tender heart and compassionate spirit will take you far in life. If you let your heart break for heartbreak of others, the impact you have on the world will be immeasurable. I am so honored and so humbled to be your mother.
Aw, I have one of those tender hearted girls, too. Alaina is just so beautiful inside and out :)
