Life in Asia takes patience...sometimes, LOTS of it. We are STILL waiting for internet at home (first applied June 14!). It's getting a little old. Oh well...at least it is summer and needing internet means a trip to the hotel and pool. I think the kids are happy :)
Anyway...we're keeping busy on our end. We've been doing lots of little things for the house...organizing the garage, getting pictures printed, ordering new bedding. We are really starting to love the new place!
We have also been trying to get other "stuff" done. For me that means working on some of my scrapbooking and planning for another year of homeschool. For Jason that mean doing some reading for his certification update. Thankfully, the long summer days allow us lots of time to work AND play.
I've posted a bunch of layouts that I have done this summer in the album, but here are a few of my most recent/favorites:
___
And no worries....I haven't forgotten about my PROJECT 365. It's just a matter of finding the time to do all the uploading...I have almost two months worth!
Love these layouts! So simple and pretty! I have two questions. First where is the floral paper from in the "Twins" layout? And second, how do you do such a good job at shadows? I'm a simple scrapper, papers, maybe a staple, maybe a flower or two. I'm not obsessed with perfect shadows, I just want to create the cleanest shadows to make the page look sharp. You probably figured it out on your own, but if there's a direction you can point me in (I use PSE 8 for Mac) I'd appreciate it.

Hi Tami!
Thanks for your kind words! I, too, am a very simple scrapper!
Most of the shadows I have been using recently are by Kristin Rice at After 5 Designs. Before that, I used Traci Murpheys drop shadow actions. I usually have to tweak them a bit depending on the color of papers I am using, but for the most part, they are great.

I love seeing your pages as well. How do you decide what to scrap? Obviously you want to scrap events that have just happened, but how do you decide what to go back and do (i.e. It's Almost Baby Time and First Smiles). I feel so overwhelmed just getting started!

Good question....it is usually just what I get inspired by. Sometimes it is new product. Sometimes I look through old folders. And sometimes, I just get motivated to tell some of the bigger stories, share about milestones, etc. I never MAKE myself do anything...that takes the fun away. But I do try to keep in mind stories and/or photos that I want to have saved.

I found you from the digi (still just a wannabe :) video and bookmarked you. I had to come to the comments to see if anyone mentioned whether these were digi layouts. Amazing work and amazing printing and shadows. Had me fooled for sure.
